                        To Say I Was Suprized is a faint Way to
                        express my Surprize  in fact I know
                        So little about my Father's people being
                        born in Wis & always liived there.  only
                        Uncle Jacob & Uncle Thompson s floks
                        Yes I Wrote to your mother but never got
                        no ans I am the Daughter of Samuel
                        H Whitaker & Catharine Marquart Whitaker
                        (Which lived in plano Ill & Died there) they
                        raised 11 children to be grown youngest
                        nearly 40 or over at their death now there
                        is only 6 liveing my oldest Bro Jake is in
                        his 87 years quite active last I heard
                        Frank is next 85 years next  march, next
                        Amanda 74 years, next is Wesley (or Johnathon Wesley)
                        69 years, next is me 66 years, next is Laura 64,
                        (the baby) that is the liveing ones.
                        Caroline, Claraice, Benijmen, & Mary Dead
                        Jake adress is Black River Falls Wis R.7
                        Amanda, is 1027 (?  th) are Spokne Wash
                        Wesley same as fokes -
                        Laura- Sherman an Aurora Ill R-4
                        Franks you may Write to his daughter & Locate
                        him I here he is With her daughter, her address
                        is Mrs C.A. Philips 73 Norwood ave Superion Wis
                        Frank stayed with me 8 month last year he is real
                        spry I have the family Record of my Fathers Family
                        Also Grandfathers Family
                    `   As to Uncle Jacob & Aunt Gertrud they are dead
                        & all their children, I think they have one daughter
                        -in law & Several Grandchildren I dont know eny
                        of their adress but live Some Where around Wheatville Wis
                        I think, you dident mention & Uncle Thompson
                        Family prehaps you have them as I know their
                        Son Visits Ind Several times they most of them Dead

                        I have your mothers picture one that Caroline had
                        & I did not know Who she Was but thought it
                        Was Some of my lolks.
                        I spose Daniel & Mary Etta is dead how many children did they
                        leave how time flys I rember them as little girls &
                        When little Weff (?) died (their Boy)
                        I think Will be all that Will interest ya
                        Should Want to know more Write me
                        I would eppreciate letter from you
                        telling me news & details of all the folks
                        altho I know they are my people
                        I am a Stranger Can only get acquainted by
                        the Silent toonge the pen.  I am a poor Writer
