As an introduction to the following chart I would like to
describe the layout. As noted above there are 10 colors,
each with it's own number. G1 (generation 1) at this time
begins with Nicholas Marquart (alias Markwood, Markwart),
G2 in every incidence will represent one of Nicholas' children.
Another layout, using the same generation color and number
codes, might be as follows:
Instead of the vertical chart layout above, I have
chosen to
use horizonal bars, the widest of which will be pink G2's
representing each of Nicholas' children, followed by the
slightly narrower yellow G3's which will be Nicholas'
grandchildren, light green G4's for his great-grandchildren,
pale orange G5's for his great-great-grandchildren, et., et., et..
Each decending generation's charting bar will be slightly
narrower ... illustrated below.

This method was believed to be less time consuming ...
but you can believe me, this took a lot of time !
Who knows, maybe I was wrong ... what do you think,
did I do it the hard way ??? <g>
As you will soon note, I have listed only the gender,
surname, and generation code in the 6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th
generations with the exception of those deceased.
When/if given permission these names will be posted on an
individual basis after the approval has been given and/or
information concerning their death has been received in
writing (for my files).
You will also notice spousal information has not been listed.
The lack of this information is due to lack of time and the desire
to post information as soon as I am able, the spousal
information will be added as soon as possible. Until then you
may assume in most cases a change of surname in the children
of a female is her married surname ... more than one surname
change suggests re-marriage.
Please contact me if you find any errors or have any additional
information, source material, or photos of the individuals listed
in this "Marquart" Genealogy Color & Number Coded
Generation Index ... please send copies of your source of
knowledge if possible.
It would be great to have "YOUR" input !
Ok ... I'm done chatting ... just click on the smiley face !
